About Bricolage Consulting

Bricolage is the time-honored art of making do with what’s at hand.

You don’t always need new (expensive) software or a complicated system. Sometimes you need someone from the outside to look at your processes with fresh eyes, talk to people in the know, compile and analyze the data, and make practical, data-supported recommendations that will actually work for your organization.

By harnessing our collective expertise, strengths, and access to helpful resources, we can collaborate to make your work easier.

About Dr. Doris Espelien

A smiling white woman in professional dress

Authenticity, pragmatism, inclusivity.

Doris received her Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota in Organizational Leadership, Policy, and Development, with an emphasis in Evaluation Studies. This is when she realized that her work is grounded in authenticity, practicality, and annoyance: She brings her entire self to identify and address problems in no-nonsense ways. Her passion for equity, inclusion, and accessibility is derived from the understanding that more voices make for better conversations. Doris previously served as an Arabic translator in the U.S. Navy, is conversant in Arabic and Spanish, and is continuously building her capacity to engage meaningfully across myriad cultural groups. Her particular area of expertise is disability inclusion and accessibility.
